It is up to the business manager to find the proper people for the job. That means they are responsible for hiring and firing the current staff. They need to determine how many people will be needed for every shift and for the various job descriptions. Then they have to find individual’s to fill those positions. They also need to learn how to let people go if they are not an asset to the company.
Another job of a business manager is to train the current employees to be able to perform the tasks that need to be done. This is important because if the staff is unable to complete their jobs correctly, then things can’t get done. Continuous training is an effective way of keeping everyone working towards a common goal.
Not only do managers have to hire and fire people, they also have to organize their personnel to get groups that work well together. The team building aspect of their job is very important. They want to utilize the strengths of the employees and hide the weaknesses.
When you are writing a business management essay, remember that a manager does a lot of different kinds of things to help the business succeed. It is important to mention all of the various responsibilities and not just concentrate on one or two of them.
